banana pancakes by megan

hello…it’s Saturday!

First, let me say that Julie & Julia was wonderful! I really, really enjoyed it. Meryl Streep was fabulous as Julia Child and she was so much fun to watch! The movie definitely made me want to cook something and then eat it. It’s such a cool idea to cook your way through a cook book, no? How fun!

This morning I slept in and went downstairs for breakfast with my sister…banana pancakes! They were good 🙂 And they made me smile. There’s something about pancakes on the weekend…sleeping in and then talking with your family while eating pancakes.

{these are not my banana pancakes, but they look equally as delicious i think}

Last night I was worried about a lot of stuff. I found myself worrying about things I should not have been worrying about. Or apologizing for things I should not be apologizing for. I was even beginning to think I should change for someone…to try to please a friend.  I read this verse this morning and it is just so perfect…

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries and prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

Isn’t that beautiful?

I don’t know if y’all like soft t-shirts, but I do and C&C has some some new fall arrivals and they are offering FREE shipping with any new arrivals purchase. I love free shipping!

It is a rainy down down here today. I hope it is sunny where you are, though. But if it is not…enjoy your Saturday anyway!
